The purpose of this research was to provide solutions to facilitate the participation of students in the activities of the student research centers of Semnān province in the academic year of 2021-2022. It was a descriptive-survey study, and its research population included all 1st and 2nd cycle public secondary school students of Semnān province. The sample size was determined using Morgan's table and 380 students were selected using stratified random sampling method. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. To measure the face and content validity of the questionnaire, the approval of the supervisors and advisors was used, and its construct validity was evaluated with the exploratory factor analysis method. The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated with Cronbach's alpha method as 0.961 and the structural equation modeling method was used to analyze the questionnaire data. The analysis of data obtained from the questionnaire provides solutions to facilitate the participation of students in the student research centers of Semnān province in the 5 main categories of "individual factors", "teacher characteristics", "family factors", "school factors" and "the performance of the student research center". It also indicates that the current status of students’ participation is "good".
