The impact of MUSIC® model of motivation on academic motivation, educational engagement and mathematic academic performance of Dezfoul secondary school students

The purpose of this study was to investigate how the MUSIC model of motivation affects the internal and external educational motivation, educational engagement (motivational strategies, learning strategies), and academic performance of students in mathematics. The research method was experimental with pre-posttests design and control group. The statistical population consisted of all students in the eighth grade of Dezful city.

Comparison of academic adjustment components and academic performance between Iranian and immigrant high school students with regard to their "nationality-school type" and gender

The purpose of this study was to compare academic performance and academic adjustment components (clarity of purposes, academic effort, and academic satisfaction) among 2nd grade high school students in Yazd city with regard to their "nationality-school type" and gender among 3 groups: Iranian students in one-national and multinational schools and immigrant students in multi-national schools in 2015. 474 students were selected via multi-stage random sampling and completed academic adjustment questionnaire.

A comparative study on the disciplined and undisciplined students with respect to the emotion to school, personality characteristics and academic performance

The objective of this study was to compare the emotion to school, personality characteristics and academic performance of the disciplined and undisciplined students. The sample of this study consisted of 420 2nd and 3rd grade high school students in 2012-2013 academic year in Tabriz city who were selected using multistage cluster sampling and purposive sampling methods. The cut points for students’ discipline grades and comments of school officials were used to choose the disciplined and undisciplined students.

A study on the impact of social skill Training on social adjustment and academic performance in slow learners

The present study was designed to investigate the impact of social skill training on social adjustment and academic performance in slow learners. For this purpose, 50 male slow learners in second grade of primary schools in Khodabandeh (a city of Zanjan province) (between 7 and 9 years old) were randomly selected. The experimental design with pre-post test and experimental and control groups was used.
