The purpose of this research was to validate the physical mechanisms of the teacher's competence in the role of a lifelong learner. The research population consisted of 269 faculty members of state universities in Tehran, of which 150 were selected as a sample using a purposeful sampling method. The research synthesis method was used to review the literature and research background. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire, which the researchers prepared based on the findings of the synthesis method. Peer review and triangulation of data sources were used to determine the validity of the questionnaire. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability of the tool, and the coefficient was 0.94, indicating high reliability of the tool. To confirm the findings of the questionnaire, one-stage and two-stage confirmatory factor analysis was used. Findings indicated that the physical mechanisms of the teacher's competence in the role of a lifelong learner consist of four main dimensions, including individual competence, motivational competence, informational and technological competence, competence of activism, which could explain the significance of physical mechanisms and their validity was confirmed.
