Relation between learning styles profile with academic performance of middle school students in science and mathematic lessons

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to investigate relation between Learning styles profiler of Jackson namely Impulsivity, Emotional independence, Responsibility and functional behavior with academic performance of middle school student in science and Mathematics lessons, Participants was 1420 male and female pupil of the third year in middle school that were selected by applying by randomized multistep cluster sampling. Method was correlational and search type was applied. For gathering data a learning style profiler (LSP) of Jackson was used. Confirmatory factor Analysis (CFA), person correlation and fisher Z test was used for analyzing data, concluding indicate that there is significant and positive relation and fisher Z test was used for analyzing data. Concluding indicate that there is significant and positive relation between learning style and academic achievement of male and female students in Mathematics and Science.
