The purpose of the current research was to identify the negative characteristics in the teaching profession, based on the analysis of the lived experiences of novice teachers of their teachers' undesirable characteristics and features during their education. It was a phenomenological study. The research population was the novice teachers of Khorramābād city, among whom 21 teachers were selected as the sample, based on the purposeful sampling method. Also, semi-structured interview was used as the research instrument to collect data, and Colaizzi's method was used to analyze the data. After analyzing and adjusting the results, the components related to the undesirable characteristics of teachers have been pointed out in the form of 3 main themes and 42 sub-themes; The main themes were: personality and moral weaknesses, educational and skill weaknesses, and neglecting the educational customs. Based on the results of the present research, it is suggested that the characteristics identified in this research should be taken into consideration by the educational authorities in the selection, evaluation and in-service courses. In this way, teachers who have personality and moral weaknesses do not enter the teaching profession, and those who are teachers, always seek growth and self-improvement. Also, they are asked to pay attention to their skill development and educational customs in all situations.
