The purpose of this study was to survey the effect of teaching science using Education Management Model on 3th grade guidance school Baharestān city students academic achievement in knowledge, skill and attitude areas. In this study, two classes participated from two separate schools, consisting of 68 students who were selected using available sampling method. They were divided into two groups of experimental and control groups (34 students in each group). The two groups were instructed in 14 sessions (each session including 75 minutes) during seven weeks with the same content (The sixth chapter of the 3th grade guidance school science book on work, energy and power). The control group was instructed using a traditional method and the experimental group was instructed using the Education Management Model. The research tools including a teacher-made knowledge test, a teacher-made skills checklist and Ahmadis attitude measurement questionnaire (1389) were used for measuring students academic achievement in knowledge, skill and attitude areas. Reliability, validity (face validity and content validity) of these tests and their compliance with the educational goals and the content of the instructed subject were approved by some of the Faculty of Education and Training heads. The results of data analysis using an independent samples t-test and the analysis of covariance showed that the experimental group’s academic achievement was more than the control group in knowledge and skill areas significantly, but the differences between the two groups in terms of their academic achievement was not significant in the area of attitude. Therefore, the application of new Education Management Model in teaching science classrooms was recommended as an appropriate pattern to promote students’ academic achievement.
